Overview

The Federal government offers multiple grants to improve student achievement.

To improve student achievement in schools with high populations of students in low income families:

  • Title I School Improvement 1003 (a)
  • Title I School Improvement 1003 (g)
  • Title I A
  • Title I C Migrant Education Program
  • To improve the quality of teachers and principals in all schools:
  • Title II A

To improve student achievement through technology:

  • Title II D

To improve student achievement among students who are learning English as a second language:

  • Title III

To support learning initiatives in community learning centers:

  • Title IV B 21st Century Community Learning Centers
  • To improve student achievement in rural areas:
  • Title VI B Rural Education Achievement Program (REAP)& Rural Low Income Schools (RLIS)

To improve student achievement among homeless children:

  • Title X McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program
  • To improve student achievement among students with disabilities:
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Special Education
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Early Intervening Services

To improve student achievement among students enrolled in career and technical education programs:

  • Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act
