0-PreK Summer Reading List

Parents and guardians, the summer reading list is here! We understand that our 0-pre-K scholars have not yet required the skills necessary to read and that is why read-alouds are so important.  Why are read-alouds important in PreK? Through read-alouds, our scholars can learn the names and meanings of objects, actions, people, and ideas all around them. At the same time, they can learn how these people, ideas, and things relate to one another, which is critical background information for literacy development in the future. Also, the books listed are Accelerated Reader books, and scholars will be able to take quizzes during the summer and when school begins in the fall.  Therefore, listen to those books being read to you “Baby Jags”!
