Madison High School Hosts Literacy Night with “Sip and Paint” Theme

Madison High School recently hosted a successful Literacy Night centered around the creative and engaging theme “Sip and Paint.” The event brought together students, families, and staff for an evening that celebrated reading, creativity, and community.
Under the leadership of Supervisor Dr. Closetta Redden and 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Director Mrs. Javonn Nicholas, the Literacy Night provided interactive activities that blended art with literacy-based learning. Participants enjoyed painting while engaging in reading activities, discussions, and hands-on lessons designed to promote literacy in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The “Sip and Paint” theme encouraged creativity and collaboration while reinforcing the importance of literacy across all subject areas. Students were able to express themselves artistically while strengthening reading and comprehension skills, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Madison High School remains committed to creating meaningful learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Events like Literacy Night highlight the school’s dedication to student engagement, family involvement, and academic enrichment.
