Excellence in Every Direction: Madison High School Scholars Make Their Mark

This weekend was filled with excitement, exposure, and unforgettable experiences for our Madison High School scholars. Miss Madison High School, the Soul Rockers of the South, select seniors from the Madison High School Football Team, Lady Jaguars, Varsity Jaguars, and Cheerleaders were actively engaged in opportunities for bonding, competition, and representation—truly showcasing Jaguar pride in every direction. In fact, five buses traveled north, south, east, and west to support the wide range of activities taking place.
Select senior football players were afforded the opportunity to participate in the Mississippi vs. Louisiana All-Star Game, where Team Louisiana secured a 30–13 victory. The Soul Rockers of the South once again proudly represented Madison High School by participating in a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Dallas, Texas, exemplifying excellence, discipline, and school spirit. Meanwhile, our Lady Jaguars attended the collegiate basketball matchup between Mississippi State University and the University of Kentucky, gaining valuable exposure at the next level. Miss Madison High School represented our school community with grace, poise, and royalty during the local Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade.
Our Varsity Jaguars competed in the Madison Preparatory Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Tournament, falling in a hard-fought overtime contest, 67–65. Despite the outcome, our Cheerleaders remained loud, proud, and supportive throughout the game, exemplifying true Jaguar spirit.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our school community for traveling and supporting each activity throughout the weekend. A special shout-out goes to our band director, auxiliary sponsors, band booster members, coaches and assistant coaches, cheer coach and assistant coaches, and dedicated community stakeholders for consistently providing meaningful exposure opportunities for our scholars.
We also commend our outstanding bus drivers—Jessie Kyle, Marvella Mitchell, Arthur Roach, Beverly Perkins-Whitney, and Michelle Williams—for ensuring our scholars traveled safely to and from each destination.
Finally, we proudly commend Dr. Perry Revels, Principal of Madison High School, for his continued leadership, vision, and unwavering support of student growth both inside and outside the classroom. His commitment to providing scholars with enriching, real-world experiences remains instrumental in the success of our school community.
We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge our sponsors for their generous donations, which played a vital role in ensuring our scholars had an exceptional and memorable experience. Thank you all for continuing to support and uplift Madison High School.
